With a staggering 22.8 million out-of-school children between the ages of 5 and 16 (UNICEF), Pakistan faces one of the most significant educational challenges in the world. The situation is even more dire when we look at the statistics: only 54% of the population receives general education. The disparity between males (66.25%) and females (41.7%) is particularly stark (Federal Ministry of Education, 2019), highlighting deep-rooted gender inequalities. This crisis spans across provinces, affecting urban and rural areas alike, but one thing is clear:

Lack of Teachers
Despite having over 100 schools with adequate infrastructure, Gilgit Baltistan faces a severe shortage of qualified teachers. This gap leaves many children without the education they deserve.
Current Progress
We are already making a difference. SKZ currently operates four slum schools in the village of Tissar, a union-council of Shigar Valley in Gilgit Baltistan. These schools serve over 600 children, providing them with access to quality education and a chance at a brighter future.
Project Goal
To continue and expand this vital work, we need to hire more teachers. Our goal is to fill every classroom with passionate, qualified educators who can guide these children toward success.

To achieve our goal of providing quality education to every child in Gilgit Baltistan, we need your support. Our teacher sponsorship program offers several options:
About the project
⦁ We need to enhance this initiative therefore we need to hire teachers.
⦁ You can help SKZ in building the future for these children by donating £50; this amount will be given to the teacher as a salary.
⦁ Slowly and steadily we are trying to make the schools functional but without your support it might not be that easy.
⦁ The donors can provide this amount monthly as :
1) Provide A Teacher For 1 Month – £50
2) Provide A Teacher For 6 Months – £300
3) Provide A Teacher For A Year – £600
