“SHARING TO CARE”
Zakat: A Sacred Duty, A Path to Blessings
“And establish prayer and give Zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah)
Zakat is not just an obligation—it’s a profound act of worship that purifies wealth and nurtures the soul. For every eligible Muslim whose wealth surpasses the Nisab threshold and a lunar year has passed, paying Zakat is a divine command.

What is Nisab?
Nisab is the minimum wealth threshold that obligates the payment of Zakat. It is calculated based on the values of gold and silver. For the year 2024, the Nisab is as follows:
- Nisab using Silver: 52.5 tola (612.36 grams)
Approximately £355.7 or 125,195 PKR - Nisab using Gold: 7.5 tola (87.48 grams)
Approximately £4542.84 or 1,611,264 PKR
In accordance with the Quranic guidance found in Surah Al-Tawbah (9:60), Zakat Al-Mal is a vital act of worship that purifies wealth and supports those in need. At SKZ, we ensure your Zakat is used effectively across the eight categories established in this sacred verse:
