What is Gift Aid?

A government program known as Gift Aid enables UK charities to recoup the basic rate tax you previously paid on your gifts. This means that on your behalf, we may recoup 25p of every £1 in government donations. This increases the donation’s overall worth by 25%! All of this is free to you!

If you fill out the declaration form below, unless you notify us differently, we will be able to claim Gift Aid on all donations you have made to us during the last four years and any future donations.

The value of your contribution may rise by 25% if you are a UK taxpayer without incurring any additional expenses (Required) Since I pay taxes in the UK, SKZ may claim my contributions from the past four years as well as any future donations I make. I am aware that it is my obligation to pay any difference if my income tax and/or capital gains tax payments are less than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of my gifts during that tax year. Remember to inform SKZ if any of the following occur: you wish to revoke this declaration; you change your name; you move; or you no longer pay the required amount of tax on your income and/or capital gains.

Gift Aid enables SKZ UK to deduct 20% of your donation’s basic rate of tax. Higher rate earners, however, pay 40% in taxes.
As a result, if you pay greater rates of tax than SKZ UK does on your gift, you may be eligible to get reimbursement from HMRC for the difference.
Here’s an illustration:
■ You give us £100 and are a higher rate taxpayer (your tax rate is 40%).
■ We want a 20% basic rate tax refund from HMRC. Given that we receive 25p for every £1 contributed, your total gift of £125 is what we claim.
■ You are entitled to the difference between the basic tax rate of 20% and the 40% rate of tax that we have deducted from your gross gift.
■ That difference is 20%. Therefore, you can submit a claim to HMRC for 20% of £125 (or $25).
